The multifaceted nature and advancement of present day associations have constrained researchers to advance speculations that help students and rehearsing administrators to get them. This report examines the Apple Incorporation utilizing three principle points of view of authoritative investigation including the pioneer see, representative interpretive, and postmodernism. Innovator see As previously mentioned, present day associations are entangled in essentially the entirety of their angles. Incidentally, they additionally work in complex conditions that require solid information and comprehension with respect to the executives and representatives (Hatch 2006, p.11). The mind boggling, unsure, and conflicting conditions inside which associations work require administrators and representatives to be progressively equipped, humanized, and moral. Adequate authoritative information is fundamental in managing unavoidable anticipated and unanticipated issues and difficulties, which can be a hindrance to an organizationââ¬â¢s current and future achievement. Apple Inc. is a worldwide organization, of American starting point, that makes and markets PCs, customer hardware, and PC programming (Sander Slatter 2009, p. 81). By October 2010, Apple was working ââ¬Å"three hundred and s eventeen retail locations in ten nations and an online shop where programming and equipment are soldâ⬠(Sander Slatter 2009, p. 81). Today, Apple stands apart as perhaps the greatest organization all inclusive dependent on showcase capitalization and the most significant ICT Company on the planet, before Microsoft. In spite of the way that, Apple is one of the most appreciated organizations in the US and over the world, it has gotten broad anal ysis for its strategic policies, contactorsââ¬â¢ work, and ecological practices. Ecological Issues Modernist perspective on associations is established on the possibility that, the advancement of human information and the event of social headway depend on sense and judiciousness of an appropriate arrangement of overall logical laws, social propositions, and authoritative plans that interface individuals and associations together. Likewise, pioneer chiefs accept that there is, and must be, one suitable strategy for overseeing people in associations (Knights Willmott 2006, p.389). Advocates of this view hold that, an incorporated arrangement of master esteems and conventions for coordinating human judgment and social lead can be built up and abused for the benefit of all of a general public. Frameworks and possibility speculations are prime instances of pioneer way to deal with associations. Business associations work inside a lattice of inward and outside situations that impact le gitimately, just as in a roundabout way, their structure and working. Apple is a key player in the ICT business that has been under tremendous essentialness from the people, organizations, hippies, and common society bunches due to the genuine unfavorable natural effects related with electronic items. Greater part of Appleââ¬â¢s ecological issues are identified with effects of its pre-owned equipment items on the indigenous habitats (Oneindia News 2011, Para 1; Jun 2011, Para 3). For example, in China, Apple has been denounced by around three dozen Chinese natural gatherings of inability to make a move for worries about ecological contamination at production lines that give it electronic parts and different segments. Truth be told, a report discharged in China, in January twentieth this year, positioned Apple at the base of in excess of twenty innovation organizations concerning its natural responsiveness (Oneindia News 2011, Para 3; Jun 2011, Para 3). Foxconn plans iPhones and other electronic gadgets for Apple (Oneindia News 2011, Para 4). Numerous Foxconn representatives ended it all in southern China in the year 2010. Another impressive number of representatives of an organization known as Wintek Corporation, were taken in debilitated because of the deadly synthetic concoctions utilized in making contact screens for Apple and other innovation organizations (Oneindia News 2011, Para 4; Enderle 2010, Para 1). Apple and other ICT organizations are looked by the truth of the way that, entirely throu gh their lifecycles, electronic merchandise can influence human wellbeing and nature unfavorably through the release of fatal synthetic concoctions and vitality utilization. Jun (2011, Para 2) calls attention to that, the proof accessible of employeesââ¬â¢ harming and break of natural laws at some Appleââ¬â¢s driving providers, is an unmistakable sign that there is a clear hole in socially and earth mindful administration over the companyââ¬â¢s gracefully chains. Social Structure As called attention to before, associations are basically individuals integrated by a common want to accomplish an objective or set of objectives. Actually, from a systemsââ¬â¢ way to deal with associations, every association is a sub-arrangement of the greater association known as a general public or state. In this way, associations are intended to supplement each other with the end goal that, when a given association is useless, it might prompt difficult issues in different associations. Assoc iations in this manner must work under sound communication with different associations, just as individual individuals from a general public. It is apt to take note of that, inside, an association ought to likewise set up an authoritative culture that sustains gainful relations between and among its representatives. Truth be told, it is protected to contend that, the type of inner connections that an association has, decides how well it is situated to relate and cooperate well with different associations and people.Advertising Searching for report on business financial matters? Social duty of an association involves its treatment and social relations with individuals, inside, outside, and the more extensive social orders influenced by its exercises. It includes genuine thought by the administration of the effects of a companyââ¬â¢s activities on the general public (Besser 2002, p. 4; Grayson Hodges 2004, p. 174). It is the command of an association to relate its tasks and arrangements to its social condition in manners that are commonly helpful to the association and all partners including investors, representatives, clients, providers, specialists, and the general public. An organizationââ¬â¢s absence of duty to work together in a manner that is socially and ecologically capable, can strain its relations with specialists worried about natural insurance. Such stressed connections may impact the inconvenience of ext ra assessments on an association, a factor that may build an organizationââ¬â¢s operational expenses. Besides, such connections can discourage clients, representatives, and investors from partner themselves with the organization. A few people might want to relate to organizations that perceive and welcome that their neighbors are not outsiders, yet individuals who matter since they involve their intended interest group. s Apple has been positioned severally as the most appreciated organization in the US and over the world by the Fortune Magazine; in any case, it has had a lot of difficulties and failings in regarding social or open duties (Jun 2011, Para 2). For example, Apple has been severally denounced by the Chinese natural associations in light of neglecting to keep its assertion to deal with the wellbeing of laborers at its chief gracefully organizations like Wintek. Apple has been widely blamed for holding onto the biggest portion of benefit in its industry, yet it sideste ps obligation regarding natural debasement and worker poisonings in its flexibly chains, particularly in Asian markets like China. This type of irreconcilable circumstance has exposed Apple to genuine social issues, which are unpleasant to smooth running of its business. Besides, representatives, clients, and investors are crucial Apple partners who consistently put a great deal of weight up on Apple. The explanation I am analyzing their lives is to demonstrate that Indian Indentureship was simply one more type of subjugation with an alternate name. The task will likewise help me in finding out about the Indian Indentureship time frame for my CSEC assessment. Presentation Obligated work was something like the final hotel for grower after bondage. After the annulment of subjugation the grower were left with a work deficiency. As they continued looking for different wellsprings of work the grower attempted Chinese, Madeirans, even free African slaves however every one of these choices all had their weaknesses. After an experimentation period with various workers, it was discovered that the Indians were the perfect workers. The Indentureship time frame should be a reasonable, others conscious and just framework not at all like the African slave exchange and subjection all in all yet this was not the situation. In numerous parts of the Indentureship time frame, it was practically indistinguishable from subjugation. In the accompanying passages it will be appeared from the proof given, that Indians were dealt with nearly as seriously as African slaves, demonstrating that the Indentureship period was basically another type of servitude. Indentureship and subjugation are fundamentally something very similar yet the significant thing that separated them was the way that the Indian workers were lawfully possessed while the African slaves had to work for the grower. The Indians were cheated into marking contracts which they didnââ¬â¢t comprehend with bogus guarantees of a superior life and great working conditions. The Indians were guileless and were handily fooled into marking the contractsâ which ran from 3-5 years. The African slaves on the other were abducted by and large and compelled to work for the remainder of their normally short lives. Their possibly possibility of opportunity would be permitted just on the off chance that they bought it, which was far-fetched. The excursion for both the Africans and the Indians started with a long excursion on a vessel in wretched day to day environments. For the Indians the excursion kept going from 93 to 113 days which was longer than the excursion of the Africans which endured from 6 to 10 weeks. Albeit the two excursions were awful the Middle section was somewhat more terrible than the excursion the Indians persevered. They were both kept in limited spaces which was unfortunate, particularly w henever saved for significant stretches of time. As a result of their control illnesses were effectively spread and the death rate was exceptionally high. Life on the ranch was very little extraordinary on the grounds that their living quarter were likewise restricted. jennifermye84http://www.blogger.com/profile/03559916719916522166noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6161005204253829536.post-47729642854512126712020-07-03T09:27:00.001-07:002020-07-03T09:27:02.049-07:00Physician Assistant Salary and Income Map 2013 Here at the PA Life, I am always trying to develop tools that make your life (and my life) easier. Provide evidence of any press release of real cases of withholding tax in Singapore and to what extent it is effective? 6. Proper referencing is essential. Otherwise marks will be penalised? Answers: Introduction In this report, an attempt is made to discuss the provisions of withholding taxes of Singapore. The report aims to discuss the purpose, application, exemption and critical evaluation of the withholding taxation system. The Singapore Income Tax Act provides the relevant provisions that governs the application of the withholding tax. The main aim of this report is to gain an understanding of the withholding tax system as applicable in Singapore. 1. Withholding tax purpose In Singapore, a board under Ministry of Finance known as the Internal Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) is responsible for collection of personal tax, corporate tax, goods and services tax etc. There are various tax laws that are applicable in Singapore that includes Stamp duties Act, Income Tax Act, Property Tax Act, Goods and Services Tax Act. The amount of tax payable by a taxpayer is dependent on the residential status of the payer. Therefore, the Singapore Master Tax guide (34th Edition) states that it is necessary to determine the residential status for calculating the liability of the taxpayer. It provides that an individual is regarded as resident if any of the three criterias are satisfied by the taxpayer (Hasegawa Kiyota, 2015). The first criteria states that if an individual resides in Singapore then such individual is regarded as a resident taxpayer. The second criteria states that if an individual is physically present in Singapore for 183 days or more then such ind ividual is regarded as resident for the purpose of tax. The third criteria states that if an individual is employed in Singapore then such individual will be regarded as resident for the purpose of tax. In case of companies if the management and control of the company is in Singapore, then such companies are regarded as resident. In case of resident taxpayer they are taxed using a progressive basis whereas the nonresidents are taxed using a flat rate (Teck Oei, 2016). The system of withholding is applied on payments made to nonresident employees, partners or business. The companies are bound by law to deduct from payments made to nonresidents a certain percentage of income under Part XII of Tax deducted at source. This deducted amount from the income is known as withholding tax and it is required to be deposited with IRAS (Haberly Wjcik, 2014). The system of withholding tax is an effective way of collecting tax from the nonresidents. In the withholding tax system, the burden of tax falls on the nonresidents whereas the reporting and payment responsibility is shifted to the resident taxpayer. The system of withholding tax is developed in a manner to ensure that nonresident is unable to avoid their due taxes. Based on the above discussion it can be said that the main purpose of withholding tax is to collect taxes from the nonresidents in a timely and effective manner so that the revenue of the government is safeguarded (Hussain Manaf, 2016). 2. Payment subject to withholding tax In Singapore, there are certain types of payments that are made by the residents to the nonresidents that are subject to withholding taxes. The discussion of this payments including the applicability, tax rates and an example is provided in this section of the report. The withholding tax are deducted from payments made under section 45 of the SITA relating to the interest, fees and commission. The withholding tax rate of 15% is applied only if the relevant transaction is assumed to be conducted in Singapore. It can be explained with the help of an example if an entity in Singapore obtains loan from an international institution and the interest is paid on that loan. Then in such case, the resident entity is required to deduct withholding tax at the time of making the payment of interest (Ting et al., 2016). The management fees are the payments made for the management or providing assistance in management of business or business as per section 12(7)(c ) of the SITA. The withholding taxes are applicable for management fees that are paid to nonresident. In case of management fees, the withholding tax rate is taken as the 17% or the prevailing corporate tax rate. It should be noted that the withholding tax should be computed after considering the provisions relating to the double taxation agreements. This could be explained with the help of an example if an entity in Singapore hires a management consultant from abroad then at the time of making payments the withholding taxes are deducted (Brauner Baez Moreno, 2015). The rent that are paid to nonresident for providing movable property are subject to withholding taxes. In this case, the withholding tax rate of 15% is applied on the payments made as rent to nonresidents. For example, an entity in Singapore may movable property from nonresident providers. Then in such case the rent that have been paid for the movable property to resident taxpayer are subject to withholding taxes (Dyreng et al., 2015). 3. Withholding tax exemption The withholding tax are applied to payments that have been made to nonresidents. However, there are certain types of payments that are exempted from the withholding taxes the details of which are provided in this section of the report. The payments that are made for software are regarded as the royalty payments. The withholding tax of 10% is deducted from the payments made to nonresidents (She Li, 2017). It should be noted that there are certain softwares that are exempted from withholding taxes like software that are bundled with the hardware, shrink wrap, software that are downloaded and used by the end users etc. The dividend payments that are paid to nonresidents are not subject to withholding taxes. The payments made to nonresidents for submarine cable capacity are exempted from the withholding taxes (Caruana-Galizia Caruana-Galizia, 2016). 4. Consequences for default The withholding taxes are applied based on the provisions of the relevant laws. If there is a failure to deduct withholding taxes from payments made to nonresidents then a penalty is imposed for such failures. The withholding taxes that are deducted are the debt to the government as per section 45(1) of the SITA. The section 45(3) of the SITA states that if a resident fails to deduct withholding taxes from payments made to nonresidents as per section 45(1). Then in such cases, the taxes that are due from the nonresidents are recovered from the resident taxpayers (Johannesen Zucman, 2014). The resident taxpayer is required to submit a form 137 to IRS after withholding taxes from the nonresident. It is considered as a crime if the resident taxpayer fails to submit the form or remit the amount that are deducted from the nonresidents. In this case, the penalty is imposed as three times of the amount of withholding taxes. The taxpayer is also required to pay a fine of $10000.00 or is subject to imprisonment of maximum three years. The withholding taxes deducted should deposited with the IRS within the due dates in case of any failure a penalty of maximum 20% of tax is imposed (Issa Stull, 2014). 5. Relevant case law In Singapore, the significant case related to withholding taxes is ACC V Comptroller of Income Tax (2010). This is a significant case because it was the first case to test the assertion of the comptroller that no taxpayer can challenge withholding tax. It was argued by the comptroller that the withholding tax is a mechanism for collecting taxes from the nonresidents and the taxpayer is only required to act as a collecting agent for the revenue department. In income tax, there is an opportunity to appeal against the assessment. However, as the withholding tax is a collecting mechanism so comptroller argued that no opportunity is provided for making an appeal (Kwan et al., 2016). In this case, the observation made by the court is that an agreement for interest swap does not give rise to the payment of interest. It was held by the court that the letter of demand issued by the court is an opinion and does not have any legal affects. The court further held that the responsibility of commissioner is the assessment and collection of taxes as per the income tax acts. It was concluded that the commissioner does not have the authority to make a provision of the law binding to the taxpayer (Braun Weichenrieder, 2014). 6. Effectiveness of withholding tax The entities and individuals constantly overlook the area of withholding taxes. This can be seen from the mistakes that have been made in the application of the withholding taxes. There is significant penalty that is imposed on noncompliance of the provisions of the withholding taxes. It is therefore necessary that an individual should be aware of the provisions of the withholding taxes so that any unnecessary costs can be avoided. The nonresidents mainly pay the withholding taxes so proper steps should be taken so that that awareness of the provisions can be spread among the nonresidents. The critical evaluation of the withholding tax system provides that it has helped the government to collect taxes from the nonresidents in an effective manner. The revenue loss of the government has reduced, as the residents are required to pay the taxes if the nonresident avoid paying the taxes (Lai et al., 2016). Based on the above discussion it can be said that the withholding tax system has been applied in an effective manner thereby improving the collection of taxes. However, the government should respond appropriately to ensure that nonresidents accurately complete the Form C. In order to avoid noncompliance it is suggested that assistance should be provided for marinating appropriate records. It is recommended that the tax liability of a resident taxpayer should be reduced if the resident taxpayer has pay the withholding tax (Koenig, 2014). Conclusion The discussion of the above report highlights that withholding taxes has helped the Singapore government to increase revenue. It is advised that the government should take more steps to spread the awareness relating to the various provisions of the withholding taxes. Reference Braun, J., Weichenrieder, A. Answer: Introduction: According to the business efficacy test a contract between two parties will include terms and conditions, which are not expressly mentioned in it. These terms and conditions are known as implied terms. These terms will deemed to be included in the contract if the court feels that such terms are essential and obvious and without them the contract will not have a complete meaning. These terms are not included merely if they are wanted and practical (Carter and Courtney 2016). The MOOROCK is a very famous English case, which had put the business efficacy test to use. In this case, the plaintiff had on a basis of a contract, rented a jetty from the defendant to dock and unload his ship. The ship was damaged when the sea level went down due to a low tide. The plaintiff claimed that it was the responsibility of the defendant to ensure the safety of the ship while it was docked at his jetty. The argument made by the defendant stated that there were no such expressed terms in the contract and he could not foresee the circumstances. The court applied the business efficacy test to this case and gave a judgment that it was the duty of the defendant to arrange for the protection of the ship parked at his jetty. In Marks and Spencer plc v BNP Paribas Securities Services Trust Company (Jersey) Limited and another, the question before the court was that whether to include an implied term in a contract between the tenant and the land lore. In this case, the court decided against the introduction of an implied term in the contract and provided that the terms sought by the tenant cannot be included as, the contact was fair initially. Legal principles According to section 2 of the Contracts( rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 a person who is not a party to a particular contract can sue any party who are a part of the contract if: If it is provided in the contract expressly that he has the right to sue any party to the contract In addition, if both these conditions are fulfilled: A person who is not expressly a part of a contract has some benefits related in that contact but is not eligible to sue or enforce his rights with respect to such contact (McKendrick 2014) After proper interpretation of the contract, it is found that the actual parties to a contract did not want the provisions to be enforceable by him (Case and Emery 2015). According to the business efficacy test of common law in terms of contact If a the court comes to a conclusion that a term which is not expressly present in a contract but is apparent to all the parties of a contact and without the inclusion of the term the contract would be incomplete, the court may order for the inclusion of that term as an implied term (Manesh 2013). This term of business efficacy has been used in famous cases like the Moorock case and Foo Jong Peng and others v. Phua Kiah Mai and another. According to section 5 of the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations a term is set to be unfair if The term had not been bargained personally and not made in good faith. If a condition is drafted in advance, that it is said to be not personally bargained. According to section 8(1) of the unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations an unfair term in a contract will not be enforceable by the parties to a contract. According to section 8 (2) of unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations All others terms in the particular contract shall be binding on the parties. According to schedule (2)(1)(a) a organization an exclusion or limitation on the legal right of person to claim compensation in case of death or personal injury cannot be made in a contract. These terms are regarded as unfair terms. According to section 26 (2) of the Workplace, Safety and Health (operations of cranes) regulations it is the duty of the contractor to make sure that the installation and dismantling of a crane is done under his supervision. Application: According to the principles of common law if the business efficacy test is applied in this case, it would be every clear to say that it is the implied duty of Cranes Co (CC) to: Ensure that the labor provided by them is properly trained and skilled to be able to safely dismantle the crane provided by them for the purpose of construction Ensure that while the process of dismantling the crane is operated it does not cause personal injury to any person at the site or to the site itself. CC has violated such provisions as its agent Tower Cranes Pte Ltd (TC) have supplied labor who were not well trained or efficient to go through with the process of dismantling. CC has also violated such provision as during the process of dismantling the crane 3 works at the site had to face personal injuries. According to the provision for the privity of a contract, a person who is not, a party to the contract has no right in the contract unless he has some benefit in the contract and the parties to the contract did not include such clause in it. Although Straits Builders Pte Ltd (SB) is not a direct party to the contract between TC and CC, the particular contact will affects the position of SB it the TC does not fulfill their obligation in accordance to the contract. SB is entitled to claim damages against the action of TC from CC according to section 2 of the Contracts (rights of Third Parties) Act 2001. CC and TC share a principal agent relationship so CC is liable to be sued for any act or omission made by TC. The terms in the clause 6 of the contract between CC and SB provides that CC will not be liable for any personal loss or injury or any kind of damage suffered by an individual due to the tower cranes or due to the process of their dismantling. SB will also not be held liable for any loss arising due to the defects in the crane. Schedule 2 of unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations says that parties to a contact cannot prohibit another to exercise its legal right over, death or personal injury caused to the second party or any of its representatives due to the errors on the parts of the first party. This term included in clause 6 is an unfair term according to section 8(1) of unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations. In addition, according to 8(2) this term is not binding on the contact between them. Another term is schedule 6 of the agreement, which provides that the CC will not be liable if SB suffers any loss due to the stoppage of work by them in compliance to a judicial authority. The term is only valid as far as where the work is stopped in compliance of a judicial authority and not otherwise (Booysen et al. 2016). Conclusion: In the contact between SB and CC, the clause 6 has an unfair term, which is not binding on SB; it is implied and obvious that CC is liable to perform its duty with full care with respect to the contract. CC is liable to pay SB damages in form of compensation. References: Booysen, S., Lai, H.H., Ong, B., Heng, L.L., Chun, J., Hon, T.S., Loke, A., Morgan, G., Tan, B. and Chan, S., 2016. Here I am going to share with you some of the fundamental points that will guide you in writing the best argumentative essay.Word - Your first consideration should be the word to use. You may want to determine what word would suit your argument and also the tone of your essay. The writer should choose an essay word or words that would fit his/her subject. The next thing that you need to consider while using words is the choice of tone.Tone - The tone that the writer uses must match his/her purpose. Herman Melville Essays - Edgar Allan Poe Vs. Herman Melville Sunday, December 03, 2000 Period 6 English Ms. Lynn Melville vs. Poe I chose to write about the similarities and differences between Herman Melville and Edgar Allan Poe. Both authors/ poets lived a life you could write a book on. They began with similarities from birth till death. Weird and strange events took place throughout their stay on Earth. Both authors time of birth was within a decade apart, and both were born on the East Coast, Melville born in Boston and Poe born in New York. They each were born into poverty and had troubles to worry about. Poe's parents died when he was at a young age, and Melville's parents were failures in business, which led to the death of his father at the age when Melville was twelve. Poes education came from West Point Academy, but not by choice. His foster father paid for Poe to attend, and eventually Poe dropped out. He moved with his Aunt Maria in Baltimore. Melville received his education from school, and sailing the oceans with sailors at a young age. Melville never looked back after sailing out on adventures. He stayed and lived for a period of time on one of the islands called Nuku Hiva. At this time in their lives is when everything became twisted in my opinion. To start off when Poe moves to Baltimore with his aunt, he then marries his cousin Virginia. How in the world could you tell people, ?Yeah, this is my fourteen year old cousin/ wife. Does not sound to good if you ask me! On the other hand you could be on an island where people believed in canabalism. That is where Melville ended up while at his stay at Nuku Hiva. I am not sure if Melville took part in eating humans, but either way you would not catch me around these two weirdoes. The climax of Melvillles career came in 1850, when he published Moby Dick. The book is still a favorite today. He made money off of the book, but would it be enough to continue publishing books? The climax of Poes carrer came when he published The Raven in 1845. The book is still read in and out of the classrooms today. The Raven is better than Moby Dick in my opinion. Both books are still sold in stores to this day. One word to summarize both authors' careers is DEBT. They did not have enough money to come out with more poems or stories. When they did come out they did not do so well as their previous masterpieces. That's when drinking took over Poes life. It is said that his drinking was exaggerated that he did not drink that much. As well as alcohol there was opium and that was not better for Poe either. Then you have Melville and his troubles. He is quoted saying; ? Dollars Damn me?. (English book) No money no publications. Melville did however publish a collection of poems when he was older and then retired. Poe died in 1849, and Melville in 1891. I picked these two authors/ poets to write about because their masterpieces of writings are still cherished to this very day. They each lived in the same time frame, and their best works were with in five years of each other. Their styles of writing are different, but still their work is like no other. jennifermye84http://www.blogger.com/profile/03559916719916522166noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6161005204253829536.post-83632084380559106182020-03-12T08:40:00.001-07:002020-03-12T08:40:03.657-07:00Palladio, the Architect Who Inspired a Popular WindowPalladio, the Architect Who Inspired a Popular Window Andrea Palladio (bornà November 30, 1508 in Padua, Italy) transformed architecture not only during his lifetime, but his reinterpreted Classical stylings were imitated from the 18th century until today. Today Palladios architecture is a model for building with the 3 rules of architecture attributed to Vitruvius- a building should be well-built, useful, and beautiful to look at. Palladios Four Books of Architecture was widely translated, a work that quickly spread Palladios ideas throughout Europe and into the New World of America. Born Andrea Di Pietro della Gondola, he was later named Palladio after the Greek goddess of wisdom. The new name is said to have been given to him by an early employer, supporter, and mentor, the scholar and grammarian Gian Giorgio Trissino (1478-1550). It is said that Palladio married a carpenters daughter but never bought a house. Andrea Palladio died August 19, 1580 in Vicenza, Italy. Early Years As a teenager, the young Gondola became an apprentice stone cutter, soon joining the guild of masons and becoming an assistant in the workshop of Giacomo da Porlezza in Vicenza.à This apprenticeship proved to be the opportunity that brought his work to the attention of the older and well-connected Gian Giorgio Trissino. As a youthful stone cutter in his 20s,à Andrea Palladio (pronounced and-RAY-ah pal-LAY-deeoh) worked on renovatingà Villa Trissino in Cricoli. From 1531 to 1538, the young man from Padua learned the principles of Classical architecture when he worked on new additions for the villa. Trissino took the promising builder to Rome with him in 1545, where Palladio studied the symmetry and proportion of the local Roman architecture. Taking his knowledge back with him to Vicenza, Palladio won a commission to rebuild theà Palazzo della Ragione, a defining project for the 40-year-old budding architect. Important Buildings by Palladio Andrea Palladio is often described as the most influential and most copied architect in Western civilization after the Middle Ages. Drawing inspiration from the architecture of ancient Greece and Rome, Palladio brought decorative columns and pediments to 16th century Europe, creating carefully proportioned buildings that continue to be models for stately homes and government buildings throughout the world of architecture. Palladio window design came about from his first commission- rebuilding the Palazzo della Ragione in Vicenza. Like architects today, Palladio was faced with the task of rejuvenating a crumbling structure. Confronted with the problem of designing a new front to the old regional palace at Vicenza, he solved it by surrounding the old great hall with an arcade in two stories, in which the bays were nearly square and the arches were carried on smaller columns that stood free between the larger engaged columns separating the bays. It was this bay design which gave rise to the term Palladian arch or Palladian motif, and has been used ever since for an arched opening supported on columns and flanked by two narrow square-headed openings of the same height as the columns.- Professor Talbot Hamlin The success of this design not only influenced the elegant Palladian window we use today, but it also established Palladios career during what became known as the High Renaissance. The building itself is now known as theBasilica Palladiana. By the 1540s, Palladio was using classical principles to design a series of country villas and urban palaces for the nobility of Vicenza. One of his most famous is Villa Capra (1571), also known as the Rotunda, which was modeled after the Roman Pantheon (126 A.D.). Palladio also designed Villa Foscari (or La Malcontenta) near Venice. In the 1560s he began work on religious buildings in Venice. The great basilica San Giorgio Maggiore is one of Palladios most elaborate works. 3 Ways Palladio Influenced Western Architecture Palladian Windows: You know youre famous when everyone knows your name. One of the many architectural features inspired by Palladio is the popular Palladian window, readily used and misused in todays upscale suburban neighborhoods. Writing: Using the new technology of movable type, Palladio published a guide to the classical ruins of Rome. In 1570, he published his masterwork: I Quattro Libri dell Architettura, or The Four Books of Architecture. This important book outlined Palladios architectural principles and provided practical advice for builders. Detailed woodcut images of Palladios drawings illustrate the work. Residential Architecture Transformed: American statesman and architect Thomas Jefferson borrowed Palladian ideas from Villa Capra when he designed Monticello (1772), Jeffersons home in Virginia. Palladio brought columns, pediments, and domes to all of our domestic architecture, making our 21st century homes like temples. Critically evaluate the progress they have made under each of these objectives - Essay Example This ensures that there is smooth functioning without any friction. The second point of consideration is its power to conduct regular supervision of the financial services industry. This means writing policies for wholesale, retail, banking, and other financial services including insurance, and ensuring their proper adherence to the policies. As a part of this, the Authority has developed a code of market conduct which ensures that the market abuse practices are properly dealt with. Also, it has its own investigation and enforcement policies and department that identify the misconducts, and bring the culprits to law. The benefit of FSMA Act is that Section 165 allowed FSA to collect information and documents from firms as necessary. This power can be utilised in two ways. Either it can be used to require the provision of particular information, or it can be used to require the production of a particular document. According to Section 167, the Authority has the power to appoint investigators to conduct general investigations into firms (Alexander, 2002). Another vital point that deserves attention is the possibility of conducting investigations in support of overseas regulators. When there is violation of the policies, the Authority has the power to issue a public statement of misconduct or penalty as it finds appropriate, and the quantum of penalty is based on the risk of loss caused to consumers and other market users. Yet another important measure that enhances market confidence is the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. The next point is ensuring public awareness. Admittedly, Financial Service Authority has such a policy that is open to all consumers. To illustrate, there is the FSA library, FSA handbook, and FSA register. The FSA handbook gives one an idea about all the rules, regulations, and policies of FSA. In addition, there are handbooks called tailored handbooks available on various jennifermye84http://www.blogger.com/profile/03559916719916522166noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6161005204253829536.post-56995581070727302822020-02-08T15:52:00.001-08:002020-02-08T15:52:03.127-08:00Rational Decision-Making Model Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 wordsRational Decision-Making Model - Essay Example According to the research findings, rational decision creation model is a cognitive progression which requires that each step must be followed in a logical manner and in an organized manner. The cognitive process of rational decision-making model requires thinking and evaluating the alternatives for attaining the best possible result. There are various rational models available all of which have various steps involved and the steps which are inter-related also differ in different models. Some people are of the opinion that rational decision creation is comparable to trouble solving. It is evident that some resolutions are not dilemma oriented and does require telling the common delineation of a rational representation. Rational decision making is considered a multi-step procedure which requires logical and sound decisions to be made executed in an orderly manner starting from problem initiation through a solution. The entire process starts with a formulation of goal, identification o f criteria for decision making and then working on the alternatives for making analysis and making the finalized decision. The other area of rational decision-making model requires management to make some vital assumptions about a particular decision. Hence it requires that the person should have complete and precise information available about the selected preference which has been made. Moreover, the person should have cognitive ability and time for weighing every choice available to them which will allow them in making an efficient decision. However, it can be asserted that rational decision making is completely designed using scientifically collected data which allows making informed decision making. Once the data is carefully selected and analyzed it helps in reducing the chances of errors and misrepresentation. The assumptions and conjecture combined with subjectivity are all considered as the leading causes for poor and inequitable judgments. The biggest advantage is that inf ormation and knowledge are all based on performance which must be consistent, reliable and of high quality. It helps greatly in reducing risks and uncertainties associated with the concerned resolution. The rational decision-making model instills a proper strategy for making decisions which must be disciplined, consistent and logical in manner. As it is a step by step methodology which requires that problem must be defined clearly before taking any decision and action. Once the problem is precisely defined and particular decisions are identified using weights. jennifermye84http://www.blogger.com/profile/03559916719916522166noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6161005204253829536.post-12408178402377215092020-01-29T22:15:00.001-08:002020-01-29T22:15:04.137-08:00An Assignment on the Linguistic Acquisition Device Essay Example for Free An Assignment on the Linguistic Acquisition Device Essay In linguistics, language acquisition is the process through which human beings obtain the capability to comprehend and perceive language as well as produce sentences and words and utilize them to communicate. According to Chomsky, his Linguistic Acquisition Device (LAD) encompassed a device that children were born that could be defined as the inborn ability to comprehend the language principles. This LAD fits his innateness Hypothesis of language acquisition because he believed that once a child was exposed to language, the LAD would enable him or her to learn language in an outstanding pace as also elucidated under his critical period hypothesis Question Two According to Noam Chomskyââ¬â¢s critical period hypothesis, human speech encompassed a genetically programmed ability that had a critical age threshold. This is because like a variety of other human behaviors, an individualââ¬â¢s ability to acquire language is based on critical periods that are defined as the limited time span during which the individual is sensitive to the language acquisition external stimuli that enables him or her to acquire language. Once this time is surpassed the individual has minimum chances of acquiring language. This critical period in language acquisition was adolescence to Chomsky. Question Three Genie was discovered in Los Angeles on November 4, 1970. She was discovered by a social worker in Temple City, California when she accompanied her mother as she sought for disability benefits due to near blindness. The social worker had initially sensed that something was wrong with Genie and she got so shocked when she greeted them and discovered that Genie was actually 13 years old though the social worker had estimated that she was autistic and half that age. The social worker contacted her supervisor, who after questioning Genieââ¬â¢s mother contacted the police. Genieââ¬â¢s parents were later arrested and she was made the ward of the court and later transferred to the Childrenââ¬â¢s Hospital Lost Angeles. She was unable to acquire a language within a critical period due to the severe child abuse she went through under the hands of her father. Question Four The symptoms she displayed of this failure after she was discovered were here severe undersize regardless of her advanced age of 13 years. She had no understanding of grammar she could only comprehend 15-20 words. Two short phrases were what consisted of her active vocabulary and hence she had complete lack of speech, not because she was selectively mute but because she lacked any type of language. Though she had considerable memories of her past she lacked a way to communicate them. Question Five The forbidden experiment was the language deprivation experiment under which infants were isolated from any normal utilization of signed or spoken language as an attempt to discover the origin or language or human natureââ¬â¢s fundamental characteristics. Viktor became a model of this experiment because before his discovery he had lived in a forest like a wild animal and had been unable to understand or speak any language. After being placed under the care of Dr Jean Marc Gaspard Itard, he acquired the language rudiments and became socialized. Question Six She began to use the two-word phrases when she started to understand about 200 vocabulary words. Her speech began to improve after settling in her ne surrounding though it continued to exhibit latency. With time she started using negative forms with not rather than the prefix un. By October 1973 she could easily comprehend complex negation forms. By October 1971 she could listen to people talking and even contribute to the conversations. By November f the same year her speech and grammar could be equated to that of an 18 or 20 month old baby. By 1972 she could use complex noun phrases and regular plurals as well as understand interrogative words. By 1973 she was using determiners, definite articles, possessives and imperative sentences. She however did not acquire automatic speech. Question Seven The ethical implications of the language deprivation experiment are that it encompassed an inhuman experiment that would deprive the infants of their language acquisition abilities. Regardless of this Viktor benefited from this experiment because he was later able to acquire language rudiments and be socialized. The ethical implications of the experiments on Genie were linked to the fact that they subjected her to additional child abuse rather than help her because the researchers were more focused on the results of their results rather than hoe the research could benefit Jeanie. To some extent Jeanie benefited from the experiments because her language abilities improved but the researchers used her to acquire fame. jennifermye84http://www.blogger.com/profile/03559916719916522166noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6161005204253829536.post-49973358280934750972020-01-21T18:39:00.001-08:002020-01-21T18:39:03.254-08:00tornadoes :: essays research papers Tornadoes à à à à à One of the most devastating natural disasters is the tornado. A tornado is so damaging due to its wind speeds. Of all the natural disasters, the tornado is the one that still has the most questions left unanswered. What we do know is that a tornado is a ââ¬Å"violently rotating column of airâ⬠underneath a cumuliform cloud. This column of air is visible most of the time, but it does not always have to be. No one is exactly sure how tornadoes form, but most occur from supercells (Edwards 1). Supercells are simply violent rotating thunderstorms. It is impossible to predict exactly when and where a tornado will occur, but meteorologists are getting better. The purpose of this paper is not to inform you of the technicalities of a tornado, but rather to tell you about some of the worst tornadoes that have ever occurred. à à à à à The ââ¬Å"Tri-State Tornadoâ⬠is the worst tornado ever recorded. This tornado struck at 1:01 pm on March 18, 1925. For the next three and a half hours more people would be killed, more schools would be destroyed, and more deaths would occur in a single city than from any other tornado in U. S. history. This tornado struck the states of Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. This tornado first touched down in Missouri, where it killed a farmer. This tornado went on to kill 12 more in Missouri. When it hit Illinois, devastation was at its worst. The town of Murphysboro, with 234 deaths, had the largest death toll ever recorded within a single city. With over 400 lives lost and over $10,000,000 in losses, Illinois suffered the most of the three states. In Indiana, multiple funnels were reportedly seen. The tornado had a base on the ground of over à ¾ of a mile wide. Seventy-one people died in Indiana. When it was all said and done the ââ¬Å"Tri-State Tornadoâ⬠had killed 695 people and injured over 2,000, which is why it is known as the deadliest tornado ever. à à à à à A series of tornadoes struck the central United States and spread damage all the way up to Ontario in 1974. jennifermye84http://www.blogger.com/profile/03559916719916522166noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6161005204253829536.post-15683418352456657372020-01-13T15:03:00.001-08:002020-01-13T15:03:02.599-08:00Argummentative Essay EssayYou are to write an argumentative essay in response to one of the following topics: High school students arenââ¬â¢t ready to enter college. His works portray the harshest of realities, from the crime and disease ridden streets brought to life in Maggie, to his take on the atrocities of battle in The Red Badge of Courage. Crane pushed his strong messages of ââ¬Å"environmentâ⬠being a determining element in life, and his belief that there are no ââ¬Å"heroes,â⬠only different individuals in different situations. Crane himself was part of the 19th-century movement for naturalism in art, or the ââ¬Å"contemporary ideas of science and society, which rejected the idealization of experience and adopted an objective and often uncompromisingly realistic (my italics) approach to artâ⬠(Oxford Dictionaries). In Maggie: A Girl of the Streets, Stephen Crane embarked upon his first endeavor of writing a naturalistic novel. Rather than choosing to write a fiction about documented events in the slums of New York , Crane crafted the depression of the bowery from his own mind, based on his observations and understanding (Pizer 110). Maggie serves as an epitaph as Craneââ¬â¢s first novella in a long list of natural and realistic products. The reality of the world around each of the characters is what makes Maggie a truly naturalistic story. As the international organization perception is eyed towards the post-2015 development plan, the link between violence, for instance, development, security within the scope of the rule of law, is a relevant factor to be investigated. Since its significance goes beyond the loss of an individualrs life and can cause unpleasant emotion and doubt, violent crime is a menace to the inhabitant (UNODC, 2013). Criminal activities are the socioeconomic phenomenon that has been confronting most of the countries of the world that yield a huge profit that required to be reinvested for economic growth and development of a nation (Detteto Pulina, 2010). Various measures and plans for all categories of violent crime is strongly related to socio-economic determinants and weak governance, poor rule of law, unemployment, income inequality, rapid social change, and less educational opportunities. An instance of risk elements such as access to firearms and other weapons and higher alcohol toxication is also strongly related to many categories of violence. Together these elements cause a social climate to contribute to violence, and in the absence of efforts to address the issues, sustained violence prevention gains are difficult to achieve. Any measure and plans on violence prevention strategy must, therefore, identify ways to reduce against these dangers. (World Health Organization (WHO), 2014). This study use income inequality, unemployment, rule of law and educational attainment. However, this study does not use the access to firearms and alcohol intoxication due to the lack of data availability. Crime can give a much negative effect on investment which can be justified by the action that criminal activity deterred development, entrepreneurial activity, and new businesses, besides, decreasing the local and national government expenditures in both developed and developing countries (Detteto and Pulina, 2010) jennifermye84http://www.blogger.com/profile/03559916719916522166noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6161005204253829536.post-40870706382559171212019-12-20T03:40:00.001-08:002019-12-20T03:40:03.602-08:00The Role Of Print And Television During The 1950 S The extended essay examines womenââ¬â¢s roles in the United States during the 1950ââ¬â¢s. It historically investigates the mass media and the various mediums that contributed to the creation of an idyllic, stereotypical woman. More specifically, the extended essay will discuss print and television as methods of developing this image of women, exploring the question: To what extent did the mass mediaââ¬â¢s creation of an image of the idealized woman contribute to the change in womenââ¬â¢s roles in the United States during the 1950ââ¬â¢s? In order to answer the question, the role and impact of print and television during the time period will be studied and evaluated. Advertisements from the 1950ââ¬â¢s played an important role in making young women feel that if one did not get married, one was unlovable. A comparison between marketing strategies from the 1930ââ¬â¢s and 1940ââ¬â¢s will be made to those from the 1950ââ¬â¢s. Magazine article content also changed from current events and education to cosmetics, fashion, and marriage advice. The significance behind this change is analyzed along with the profound impact of The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan on women stuck in the suburbs. Interviews from wives during the 1950ââ¬â¢s will be assessed and secondary sources will be used in order to provide an outside perspective on the argument. The conclusion reached is that the mass mediaââ¬â¢s creation of an idealized woman during the 1950ââ¬â¢s significantly impacted the change in womenââ¬â¢s roles following WWII. Although often viewed as a nature poet , his poetry is not simply concerned with scenic and descriptive evocations of nature , but rather with the issues of Man , Human Nature and Mans relationship with the natural world. The Lyrical Ballads , produced in association with Coleridge and published in 1798 , sought to revolution in English poetry , bringing a new emphasis on natural subjects ,clarity of diction . Wordsmith s theories , outlined in the Preface which opened the volume , emphasized the poets role as a Man among men , speaking to Men using the engage really used by men, and with particular emphasis on the use of poetry as means of exploring human feelings and emotions. In many ways, Keats life modeled the period he lived in ; it was very short , yet still produced some of the most influential poetry in the history of the world. The volume :Lamiae,Isabella,The Eve of SST. Agnes and Other Poems is generally considered the greatest volume of poetry by any English poet ,with the single exception of Shakespeare s sonnets. Except for a few sonnets, this volume contains virtually all the poetry upon which Keats reputation is based . AI of these poems osseous the distinctive qualities of the work of Keats maturity : a gracious movement , a concreteness of description in which all the senses-tactile, visual , gustatory -combine to give the total apprehension of an experience . He finds melancholy in delight , and pleasure in pain ; he feels the weightinesss of love as an approximation to death; he inclines towards a life of sensation and and towards a life of thought ; he is aware both of the attraction of an imaginative dream world and the pressure of the actual ; he aspires at the same time for aesthetic detachment and for social responsibility . For Wordsmith , following on from the example of eighteenth century writers and philosophers such as Rousseau ,Nature and the natural world was mans natural home. The importance of the relationship with nature in Wordsmiths own life is explored in the mainly autobiographical poem Tinder Abbey and the Prelude. Wordsmith wrote in an age that felt a new appreciation for the sublime in the natural world. Len Tinder Abbey ,Wordsmith writes about a green pastoral landscape and he claims that Nature never did betray The heart that loved her. He shows nature to be a gentle and nurturing force , who teaches force who teaches and ethos humanity. For Wordsmith , nature plays a comforting role, the poet sees nature as an eternal and sublime entity . Rather than placing man and nature in opposition, Wordsmith views them as complementary elements of a whole, recognizing man as a part of nature . Hence , Wordsmith looks at the world and sees not an alien force against which he must struggle , but rather a comforting entity of which he is a part. Wordsmith uses a technique that departs complementary the Neoclassical tradition , where the emphasis was placed on order and balance and reasoned thoughts , even in form. Wordsmith takes the liberty to write in blank verse , often without punctuation between lines , underlining the Romantic ideal of emotion. Rejecting the contemporary emphasis on form and an intellectual approach that drained poetic writing of strong emotion , he maintained that the scenes send events of everyday life and the speech of ordinary people were the raw material of which poetry could and should be made. Much of Wordsmiths easy flow of conversational blank verse has true lyrical power and grace , and his finest work is permeated by a sense of the human relationship to external nature that is religious in his scope and intensity . .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c , .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c .postImageUrl , .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c , .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c:hover , .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c:visited , .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c:active { border:0!important; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c:active , .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u171125999fa9144ed3767c0043f9464c:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: In the poem the white horse EssayTo Wordsmith , God was everywhere manifest in the harmony of nature , and he felt deeply the kinship between nature and the soul of mankind. On the other hand , Keats was endowed with an unusually keen perception of sensuous beauty in the objects and phenomena of nature and had an acute susceptibility for forms, colors sounds and movements , for all those qualities by which the particular self and structure of a thing was distinguished. The censorial acuity enable him to apprehend the reality of the material world in all its fullness , with all its shades of difference and with an extraordinary intensity and rightness. The contemplation of a landscape was for him a feast of shapes , color , light, shades of music and he delighted in the vividness of his sensations as much as he did in the objects perceived. No wonder, therefore , that he could sense natural beauty with the sharpness of a painter and translate it into poetic language so graphically and with an accuracy , lifelikeness and concreteness that had not been met in English poetry since the Renaissance. (l stood tip-toe upon a little hill,] The air was cooling , and so very still v). Speaking about Keats craftsmanship we must point out the fact that the unique tatty of his poetry is due to the blending of three elements: color, emotion and melody . Len the poems of Keats maturity , his language shines with all the gems of speech . The rhythms handled with great mastery , prove that Keats is an artist who is alive to the power of music. In Ode to a Grecian Urn , Keats finds eternity in the beauty of art. Lingered upon the urn , the images of ancient life have been given immortality. This immortality , however , is not entirely a blessing. Describing the picture of two lovers , Keats strikes a balance between the positive and the negative aspects of eternal existence: Bold lover, never cants for kiss, Though winning near the goal-yet dont grieve; not fade , though thou hast not thy bliss, For ever will though love , and she be fair In a way , Keats envies the pair frothier immortality :they are perpetually young and in love , never knowing any sorrow. On the other hand , however, Keats notes that they can never kiss , for they are frozen in time , unable to fulfill the full promise of their lives. Knowing no sorrow, the lovers Joy is ultimately meaningless , for happiness can only be experienced in contrast to suffering . Recognizing this fact , Keats shows how mans impossible quest or immortality manifests itself in art. Seeking to achieve permanence , we create images that will carry on through time. Though art may surpass man chronologically , it never actually lives , and hence can only mimic the true essence of human existence. Wordsmiths finds permanence in nature rather than art. For Wordsmith , nature represents eternity , existing long before and after the lives of men. Len Tinder Abbey , Wordsmith writes that we must be able to look at nature and recognize our transitory existence , seeing that we are but a single flux in the everlasting flow of the whole. Hence, Wordsmith suggests that we comfort ourselves with natures immortality , finding in it the anchor of its own building . Joy has a different meaning in Keats ode, and it is a transient pleasure like any other, whose hand is ever at his lips/bidding adieu in expectation of its death. Len Ode to a Nightingale , Keats portrays death as an entity that follows the author. Keats , having called Death soft names in many a mused rhyme , expresses his past appeals for a gentle end. Keats approaches his death with Romantic serenity, the contemplation has led him to accept death in its imminence and reality ; in the poem e has turned to the hope of a fair and gentle passing. jennifermye84http://www.blogger.com/profile/03559916719916522166noreply@blogger.com0
